소리는 귓바퀴에서 모아져 외이도를 지나 고막을 울립니다. 고막의 울림은 다시 고막에 붙어있는 귓속뼈의 진동을 일으키고 이 진동이 달팽이관으로 전달되어 신경세포를 움직이게 합니다.
